OBJECTIVES:

  1. Describe the importance of maintaining a MAP > 65 mmHg in patients with distributive shock
  2. Distinguish the pharmacology and pharmacokinetics of angiotensin II with norepinephrine and vasopressin
  3. Describe the primary and secondary efficacy and safety results of the ATHOS-3 trial
  4. Develop a plan for the appropriate initiation and monitoring of angiotensin II in a patient with distributive/septic shock
