Flag Lowering (Paris Attack) - 11/16/15

Pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation released on November 15, 2015, Governor Inslee hereby directs that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff immediately, in honor of the victims of the attack in Paris, France.

Flag Lowering - Roseburg, OR Tragedy

Governor Inslee directs that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff immediately, in honor of the victims of the tragedy in Roseburg, Oregon.

Flag Lowering-WSU President Elson Floyd (6/27/15)‏

Governor Inslee is deeply saddened by the death of Elson Floyd, president of Washington State University, and directs that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff in his memory on Saturday, June 27, 2015. Elson Floyd, 59, died on June 20 after suffering from complications due to colon cancer.

The Governor’s Office has no objection to agencies lowering the flags at the close of business on Friday, June 26, 2015. Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset on Saturday, June 27 or first thing Monday morning, June 29, 2015...

Flag Lowering-Cpl. Joshua Barron (6/5/15)

Governor Inslee is deeply saddened by the death of Marine Corporal Joshua E. Barron, 24, of Spokane, and directs that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff in his memory on Friday, June 5, 2015.  Corporal Barron died on May 17 from injuries sustained while aboard a MV-22B Osprey after it made a hard landing at Marine Corps Base Hawaii.
 
Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset on June 5 or first thing Monday morning, June 8, 2015...

Flag Lowering-Peace Officers Memorial Day (5/15/15)

Governor Inslee hereby directs that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff on Friday, May 15, 2015, in recognition of the annual Peace Officers Memorial Day.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset.  Flags need to be at full-staff by Saturday, May 16, 2015, in honor of Armed Forces Day.

Please notify all of your field offices and facilities around the state.
Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
