Members,

As pursuant to the by-laws, members of the Association voted on the organization’s officers earlier this month. This ballot was sent on April 26, 2022, and closed at 5 pm on Friday, May 6, 2022. From the election results, the 2022-2023 LMTA Officers of the Board were decided; listed below are the confirmed officers based on the election results with a description of each office’s responsibilities. Officers will be sworn into office on July 23 during the Officer Installation Dinner at the Association’s Annual Convention in Pensacola Beach. Congratulations to each candidate, we thank you all for playing an active role in both our organization and industry!

Chairman of the Board 

• Karl Mears, Razorback Rentals

President (1 Year Term)

The President shall be the chief executive officer of the Association. He shall be an ex-officio member of all committees. Upon assuming office, the President automatically becomes a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee.

• Cully Frisard, Frisard Companies

1st Vice President (1 Year Term)

The First Vice-President, upon assuming office, shall automatically become a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. She shall, in the absence of the President, preside at all meetings of the membership, and in the absence of the Chairman of the Board and the President, at all meetings of the Board of Directors. Should the office of President be vacated for any reason before the expiration of the President's term of office, the First Vice-President shall succeed to the office of President for the remaining term or until a successor shall have been duly elected and qualified.

• Nataly Madden, Signature Transport

2nd Vice President (1 Year Term)

The Second Vice-President, upon assuming office, shall automatically become a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. They shall, in the absence of the President and the First Vice-President, preside at all meetings of the membership, and in the absence of the Chairman of the Board, the President and the First Vice-President, at all meetings of the Board of Directors. Should the office of First Vice-President be vacated for any reason before the expiration of the First Vice-President's term of office, the Second Vice-President shall succeed to the office of First Vice-President for the remaining term or until a successor shall have been duly elected and qualified.

• Brad Nelson, FreedomTrucks of America

Vice President at Large (1 Year Term)

The Vice-President at Large, upon assuming office, shall automatically become a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee.

• Mike Beck, McGriff Insurance Services

Secretary (1 Year Term)

The Secretary, upon assuming office, shall automatically become a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. She shall act as Secretary of the Board of Directors. 

She shall be Custodian of the Seal of the Association (when the Association has a seal); and shall keep the minutes of the meetings of the Association and of the Board of Directors or shall have the authority to appoint an LMTA Staff Member to keep the minutes. She shall make a report to the Directors at each regular meeting and to the Annual Convention of members, and at such other times as may be appropriate.

• Judy Smart, Roadrunner Towing & Recovery, incumbent

Treasurer (5 Year Term)

The Treasurer shall keep a full, accurate, and complete record and account of the receipts and disbursements of the Association. Upon assuming office, the Treasurer automatically becomes a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee.

• Nicole Otillio, Bengal Crane Logistics Transportation

ATA Vice President (1 Year Term)

The ATA Vice President shall be one of the association’s representatives active with the national branch, the American Trucking Associations (ATA). As a representative, the ATA President shall attend and participate in national meetings and present a report back to members of the Association. Upon assuming office, he also shall automatically become a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee.

• Shaun Fontenot, A&B Transport

ATA VP Alternate (1 Year Term)

The ATA Vice President Alternate, upon assuming office, shall automatically become a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. He may, in the absence of the duly elected ATA Vice-President, serve in the capacity of ATA Vice-President.
