Beyond reviewing the necessary NFPA service related requirements, this class covers essential service, installation and maintenance requirements required by the manual and NFPA. Additionally, the class provides Hands-On training that will provide proper installation, service and maintenance. We will walk through how to service and install pieces of equipment and learn some hints passed along the way by other technicians.
The target audience for this class is individuals responsible for plan review or confidence testing of new and existing Type One Commercial Rangehoods and UL 300 Fire Systems. The class will focus on plan review and onsite inspections of Type One Hoods and UL 300 Fire Systems. We will discuss the importance of a thorough plan review and how to inspect the system when certifying the systems for compliance. We will discuss in depth what is UL 300 and how it relates to the International Building Code, International Fire Code, NFPA, and the listing requirements per the manufacturers.
Upon completion, participants will be better able to complete a thorough plan review and have confidence when certifying the systems.
