Stay up to date with the latest changes to the Fire Code! Attend WSAFM's Fire Code Update class! As most of you are aware, the 2015 International Fire Code goes into effect July 1st, 2016 in the State of Washington. This one-day course will cover code changes from the 2012 to the 2015 edition of the International Fire Code. In addition, a review of the latest Washington State amendments to the Fire Code will be covered.
 
This course is being offered in multiple locations throughout the State. 0.65 ICC Preferred Provider CEU's will be awarded to those attending!

The State Building Code Council (SBCC) has adopted emergency rules regarding marijuana extraction facilities. The emergency rule went into effect on July 1, 2015. 

This new rule establishes specific requirements for the handling of hazardous materials, establishes inspection standards and provides construction and permit requirements to ensure life/safety for occupants, first responders and the public. 

I encourage you to have your fire prevention officer or other applicable staff review the regulations which apply to both new and existing facilities...
