In partnership with the California Trucking Association, the CHP presents the 2017 Commercial Vehicle Safety Summit (CVSS) at the Radisson Hotel in Newport Beach, California. In association with this event, the CHP is now taking applications for the Safe Transportation Achievement Recognition Awards. Applications must be received no later than August 31, 2017.

This all-day event will include short break-out sessions facilitated by representatives from the California Highway Patrol (CHP). There will be representatives available from the Department of Motor Vehicles, California Department of Transportation, California Air Resources Board, and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to answer questions. The combined efforts of industry and the Department have made this training and outreach endeavor a success in previous years.
