LA OMV: Commercial Driving Privileges Cancellation Notices

Message from the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles

Members,

Below is a message from our partners at the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles (LA OMV) regarding the cancellation of Commercial Driving privileges. If you have any questions regarding this issue, please contact Executive Director Renee Amar.

FROM THE LA OMV:
The Office of Motor Vehicles recently implemented Commercial Driving Privileges Cancellation Notices for Louisiana commercial driver’s license and commercial learner’s permit holders who do not have a current medical on file with OMV. The notices were mailed out and gave the individual 30 days to send/bring in a current medical and have their medical information updated. If they failed to comply, their commercial driving privileges were cancelled. OMV began cancelling their commercial driving privileges today for the individuals who did not comply.

Customers can submit their medical examiner certificate to the Office of Motor Vehicles in the following ways:

2. Fax: 225-925-3901
3. Mail: Office of Motor Vehicles, P.O. Box 64886, Baton Rouge, LA 70896

CDL and CLP holders can confirm their medical status at www.expresslane.org. Commercial drivers must have a current medical certification or variance in their possession at all times while operating a commercial motor vehicle.
