 The Washington State Association of Fire Marshals is hosting the Badger/Kidde factory Pre-Engineering training program addresses all of the necessary product specific equipment service details, as well as service manuals, product literature, bulletins and other materials necessary for compliances with various codes and NFPA (i.e., NFPA 10, NFPA 17, NFPA 17 A, NFPA 70, NFPA 72 and NFPA 96) requirements.

This 6-Day Off-Campus course introduces the student to the fundamental methodology for application of fire and life safety codes and standards.  Although it contains many of the basic principles of code enforcement, more experienced code inspectors and officials might find it useful as a review of essential methodologies and as a useful update to current code enforcement applications.  Please review the FEMA-NFA website for specific details.

The Washington State Association of Fire Marshals is seeking proposals for presentations at the 2019 Fire Prevention Institute (FPI), being held October 21-25, 2019, at Campbell's Resort at Lake Chelan (Chelan, WA).

Presentations may be submitted from national, local, state, and regional fire prevention officials, researchers, or other prevention advocates.  Prevention projects or programs must have demonstrated some level of effectiveness at meeting targeted objectives.
