NHBA Educational Programs

NHBA prides itself on its educational programs and opportunities for its members. We believe that our job as an association is to give our members access to the most up to date, innovative, and easily accessible information that helps in their daily work lives. We continue to look for new and creative ways to bring this educational information to our members and use the NHBA Committees to help recommend the hot topic and speakers. As you will see, NHBA is busy all year providing half day, full day, and week-long programs to its members all across the state either independently or partnered with other New England State Associations.

Conferences & Seminars

Through out the year, NHBA hosts or co-hosts dozens of conferences and seminars. These events range from day-long educational programs to week long programs. The content is geared towards a specific topic or member population.

NHBA partners with Texas Bankers Association to bring our members hundreds of webinars each year. Through ConferenceEdge, NHBA members have access to a catalog of webinars that span all fields of study.

Directors & Education Series

NHBA is proud to partner with Total Training Solutions to offer the Directors Education Series to our members. From the first time board member to those who have served on multiple boards for decades, this educational training series covers topics that all members must learn.

SBS Institute

NHBA has partnered with Secure Banking Solutions (SBS) to provide certification programs that will validate a banker has the knowledge and skills to protect their institution against today's information security threats.

The SBS Institute is uniquely designed to serve the banking industry by providing cyber education to better prepare students and their financial institution for cybersecurity threats and regulations. These banking specific, role-based certifications allow students to master the concepts and technologies required to perform essential cybersecurity functions. The SBS Institute certifications include real-world cybersecurity issues and establish solutions that make cybersecurity responsibilities more efficient and effective.

The SBS Institute certification program is designed around three learning paths: Executive, Manager, and Technical. Each path contains a list of applicable job titles, making it clear which courses are for you based on your job. Each learning path also includes one core certification and a variety of specialized certifications. A core certification is not a pre-requisite of a specialized certification, but is rather a natural starting point within the learning path.

NH Community Banker of the Year

The New Hampshire Bankers Association (NHBA) will seek nominations for its “2017 Community Banker of the Year Award” beginning in May, 2017. Nominations can include any New Hampshire bank employee who has gone beyond the course of ordinary business to help improve the State of New Hampshire through civic and community engagement. Ideal candidates will be respected industry professionals who have made a significant impact on those around them by inspiring others to become involved in community service.
