The Administration is keenly aware that COVID-19 has had a disparate impact on some minority communities. Recently, the White House released a fact sheet outlining the Administration’s commitment to providing support to underserved communities impacted by the coronavirus. At HHS, we have taken a number of steps to address this issue, including making testing and treatment more accessible and affordable in underserved communities, crafting guidance tailored to at-risk populations, and infusing existing structures like the 1400+ Federally Qualified Health Centers with funding to serve needs.
