Secretary Azar resumed travel last week, visiting Jacksonville, FL. There is no substitute for getting beyond the Beltway and seeing America at work – and coming back to work. To get a little flavor of his trip, here is a brief video of the Secretary in Florida. His stops included a community-based testing site, a skilled nursing facility for seniors who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, a laboratory that is constructing testing kits, and the reopening of Mayo Clinic where they are beginning to conduct non-essential medical procedures. The Secretary talked about the importance reopening the economy for the health of the nation. As he notes, it’s not health vs. the economy, it’s health vs. health.
