U.S. Senator Deb Fischer met with NAHHH members in her Lincoln office on Sept. 7 to discuss the impacts of home care and hospice services for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cong. Don Bacon joined about 40 home care, home health and hospice members and providers in Bellevue during an NAHHH summer listening tour on Aug. 12 to discuss services and supports being delivered for Nebraskans.

Connect & Share Your Stories with the New Home Care Workforce Action Alliance

The Home Care Workforce Action Alliance (HCWA) is dedicated to raising public and policymaker awareness around home care workforce issues.

The HCWA conducted its kickoff on May 18 with the support of Bill Dombi, president of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice, Vicki Hoak, executive director of the Home Care Association of America, and David Totaro, chief government affairs office at BAYADA Home Health Care Inc.

HCWA is made up of the nation’s leading home care associations and their members.

HCWA is focused on the following issues, but needs your input on where to prioritize its time and efforts:

Impact on Families

The Nebraska Association For Home Healthcare & Hospice represents the interests and concerns of home health, home care, private duty, hospice and palliative care providers in the state of Nebraska. Nebraska home care services are provided by home health agencies, hospices, homemaker and home care aide agencies, staffing and private-duty agencies, and medical equipment and supplies, pharmaceuticals and drug infusion therapy companies. Health and social services are delivered at home to recovering, disabled, chronically or terminally ill adults and children in need of medical, nursing, social or therapeutic treatment and/or assistance.
