LESFCU Participates in Local High School Financial Literacy/Aid Workshop

On Wednesday, April 13, 2021, LES FCU participated in a Financial Aid/Literacy & Admissions workshop At Tara High School, in Baton Rouge, La. for parents and students looking to learn important information about financial aid and financial literacy.

The workshop was held in the East and West wings of Tara High School where College Universities and Financial Institutions had assigned tables. Students and Parents were invited to visit each table during their lunch periods to gain valuable information regarding grants, student aid and financial literacy.   

LES FCU provided booklets on credit union membership benefits, How to Manage a Checking Account, Budgeting, Facts about Credit Scores, ID Theft and various LESFCU promotional items. Tara High School Parent Liaisons were available to moderate the workshop and help field questions from the attendees, along with two LESFCU representatives, Eric Hill and Fely Landry. Various videos were recorded and shared on Social Media avenues such as YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.
