A strong Board of Directors creates a sustainable advantage for a credit union. Without it, a credit union will likely suffer financially, ultimately hurting its members. It’s not easy discovering the right balance between Board and management leadership but when you do, it creates sustainable culture, reduces risk, and provides value to members. Why wait for a particular conference date to arrive and try to get your full board to adjust their schedules to attend before reaching that balance? We’ve got the solution for you with an instructor you know and love!

Hear from Ancin himself why this program is a perfect fit for your board:

The Louisiana Credit Union League has forged a strong collaboration with Ancin Cooley of Synergy Credit Union Consulting since 2013. You’ve seen him take center stage at our conventions, you’ve heard him present at numerous conferences and workshops (both in-person and virtually) and we’ve heard your overwhelming requests for more of his direct and relatable credit union knowledge.

In 2018 LCUL collaborated with Ancin to create a high quality on-demand training long before the pandemic forced everyone else to rush to do so. Together we created the Comprehensive Supervisory Committee Course which has been instrumental to providing Supervisory Committees with the training they need on a timeline that suits them. Now that same opportunity is available to our Credit Union Boards! This on-demand program offers robust and engaging online training that not only instructs, but also gives board members access to the video content and resources for a full year. Its user friendly, concise, and imparts the wisdom and insights you want to hear from this industry expert!

The online training includes (7) instructional modules:

  • 1. Understanding Credit Unions
  • 2. Your Role as a Credit Union Board Member
  • 3. What Your Board Packet is Really Telling You
  • 4. Red Flags for Directors
  • 5. Board Chair Roles and Responsibilities
  • 6. Situational Strategies for Credit Union Boards
  • 7. Board Communication Skills

Each module contains multiple short and easy-to-comprehend video units; printable key definitions and takeaways; a quiz; and a bonus video containing instructor insight – which is a quick, informal, conversational summary and some parting wisdom from Ancin Cooley.
