The Louisiana Foundation and the Young Professionals Network (YPN) are pleased to announce that scholarships to attend the Credit Union Development Education Program (CUDE) are now available to eligible young professionals at credit unions in Louisiana!
Beginning October 1 through November 30, applications to attend the CUDE in 2020 will be accepted. Please read the following information and if you would like to apply for a scholarship,

A program of the National Credit Union Foundation, the DE program brings renewed relevance to the philosophy of "People helping People." This unique and transformative training provides critical lessons in cooperative principles, credit union philosophy and international development issues while incorporating challenges credit unions face today.
During the week long training, participants are involved in group exercises, field trips, encouraged to ask questions of visiting speakers, and are required to complete team projects proposing solutions for credit unions to help alleviate or eliminate challenging situations in any given area.

Who is eligible?
This program is ideal for credit unions staff who have demonstrated through their actions their passion and commitment to credit unions. As such, the applicant criteria is as follows:
- Applicant is an employee or volunteer at a Louisiana credit union;
- Applicant must be a member of the YPN;
- Applicants must be actively involved in credit union activities; Examples include regular participation in chapter meetings, committee work, credit union activism, etc.
- Applicant has the endorsement of their CEO
What is included?
The scholarship covers all expenses (lodging, meals, and materials) for the DE training. All travel expenses to and from Madison, as well as incidentals while at the training are the responsibility of the credit union or applicant.
Award Recipients' Responsibilities
After completion of the program, the recipient will prepare a brief summary of his/her educational experience and share with the Foundation and YPN
