Maple Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the winners of its 2021 scholarship program. After receiving many applications from college-bound students from our credit union family, the credit union has selected 4 winners who will receive a total of $5,000 toward their college expenses.
One $2,000 scholarship for the Outstanding Student Member Scholarship was awarded to Samuel Bourg, graduating from Lafayette High School with plans to attend the University of Louisiana Lafayette.
Three additional scholarship winners were named and will each receive $1,000:
- Maddex Leger: graduating from Carencro High School with plans to attend South Louisiana Community College
- Gracie Miller: graduating from Notre Dame High School with plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette
- Madison Mouton: currently attending the University of Louisiana Monroe and is studying Pharmacy
All 15 finalists received a $100 stipend for submitting their applications and were announced live during our 2021 virtual annual meeting.
Since 2016 Maple Federal Credit Union has awarded $30,000 in scholarships to our member students, and another $3,500 in stipends to finalists.
