Campus Federal Employees Raise $50,000 for OLOL Children’s Hospital

Published: Apr 29, 2021

Campus Federal has fulfilled its commitment to raise $50,000 in funds supporting the development of the Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.

This fundraising initiative began in 2006 driven by Campus Federal employees hosting internal departmental fundraisers and events. Wanda LeBlanc, Campus Federal Executive Assistant, played a crucial role in orchestrating these efforts for more than 14 years.

To celebrate her retirement and honor her years of commitment to this cause, Campus Federal has donated the remaining $2,851.12 in her name completing the $50,000 commitment.

“On behalf of Campus Federal, I would like to commend Wanda for her years of dedication to the credit union and worthy causes,” Campus Federal President and CEO Jane Verret said. “I am thankful to have a staff engaged in making our community a better place by supporting organizations like Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.”

In recognition of this contribution, OLOL Children’s Hospital will name the Destination Garden and OLOL Employee Lounge at the new OLOL Children’s Hospital in honor of Campus Federal Employees.

“We are grateful for longtime community partners like Campus Federal Credit Union and their employees for their loyal support of Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital,” Our Lady of the Lake Foundation President Ann Marie Marmande said. “Their donation of $50,000 will help further our mission of serving those in most need.”

Campus Federal has served as Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center Employees’ credit union since 2012.
