Ouachita Valley FCU Nominated for a Thomas H. Scott Award of Excellence.

Ouachita Valley FCU was nominated for a Thomas H. Scott Award of Excellence. The awards are presented annually by the Monroe Chamber of Commerce and honor companies making significant contributions to the Ouachita Parish economy through capital investments, expansion, job creation and community involvement during 2020/2021. Pictured is our Executive Vice President, Gary Funderburk along with City of Monroe Mayor, Friday Ellis and President of the Monroe Chamber of Commerce, Sue Nicholson.  

The award is named after Thomas H. Scott founder of Scott Companies, which is headquartered in Monroe.  Over the years, Scott Truck and Tractor evolved into Scott Equipment Company, which includes Scott Equipment, Scott Financial Services, Scott Irrigation, Scott Real Estate, and CBS Interests.  Today, Scott Company has expanded into 13 states, employs over 550 people with an annual payroll of $32million.  They are a Ouachita Parish success story that every business hopes to emulate.
