GNO FCU Engaged Young Members During Youth Month

GNO Federal Credit Union celebrated National Credit Union Youth Month in April. The goal was to encourage young members to develop healthy saving habits by making it fun, exciting, and rewarding! The campaign was designed to engage young members and show them that the credit union is here to help them begin their financial journey. They engaged their younger members through fulfilling these fun activities:

  • Entered the CUNA National CU Youth Savings Challenge;
  • Released a video blog, social media videos and posts about the benefits of having a youth savings account;
  • Emailed over 18,000 members and 126 SEG’s, created and displayed branch posters, distributed 5,000 teller tags, and created a National Credit Union Youth Account webpage;
  • Partnered with Chick-fil-A, hosted a GNO FCU Spirit Night at 2 Chick-fil-A locations, gave away 300 GNO sunglasses as prizes, along with information on National CU Youth Month;
  • Provided "100 GNO Swag Bags" for Chick-fil-A 1-year anniversary;
  • Contacted 20 local elementary schools via email and calls;
  • Provided piggy banks at account openings;
  • Offered $5 for each “A” on report cards;
