Through the EFCU Financial Foundation, EFCU Financial has awarded fifteen local graduating high school seniors each a $1,000 college scholarship. The credit union’s scholarship program has grown significantly over the past two years, and plans are to continue to increase the number of scholarships and the award amounts in the coming years helping more members secure their educational future.
To be eligible for consideration, a student must be a graduating high school senior and an EFCU Financial member or have a parent or guardian who is an EFCU Financial member. Additional criteria include submitting an official high school transcript, ACT score, extracurricular involvement, and an essay on how the credit union industry can remain relevant for current and future generations.
The EFCU Financial Foundation was chartered in 2017 to support education in the EFCU Financial field of membership, as well as, support the credit union’s community involvement efforts.
