Mission Statement

The objectives of this Division shall be to further enhance the education of all Fire Service Administrative Support by conducting workshops and seminars; to increase the proficiency of Fire Administrative Support by establishing a network sharing of information systems through various channels of communication; and to faciliate a statewide standardization wherever possible in all phases and aspects of the Fire Administrative Support field for the benefit of the Fire Service.

Christmas Trees & Fire Safety

Do you know how long it takes for a Christmas tree to burn? The State Fire Marshal’s Office will hold a press conference demonstrating the catastrophic dangers posed by indoor Christmas trees, along with a fire prevention presentation highlighting safety tips for the holiday season. The press conference will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 1:00 p.m. at the State Fire Training Academy in North Bend.

Representatives from the State Fire Marshal’s Office will be available for one-on-one interviews with the media to discuss the challenges and dangers of not caring for your Christmas tree properly.

Eastbound - take exit 38 off I-90, turn right off the exit. The road will run parallel to the freeway approximately two miles, then curves left back under the freeway and through a yellow pole gate. Follow the one lane access road approximately 2.5 miles to the Fire Training Academy administration building. Speed limit on access road is 20 mph.

Westbound - take exit 38 off I-90, turn right off the exit. Follow road through the yellow gate to access road. Follow the single lane access road approximately 2.5 miles to the administration building. Speed limit on the access road is 20 mph.
