The purpose of the Fire Mechanics Section is to promote standardization of fire apparatus and equipment preventative maintenance, improve safety standards and practices, promote workshops, conferences, and seminars related to the purposes of this Section, and to promote cost savings through standardization of building and equipment purchasing and maintenance.

Truck Talk with Pender County (NC) EMS & Fire

Choosing an E-ONE Typhoon rescue-pumper, Pender County EMS & Fire, Inc., wanted a truck to carry all of its equipment for serving both rural and urban areas. The truck was built around the department's specific needs and also features a new color scheme.

New Brunswick (NJ) Debuts New Fire Apparatus

 
 

It is also fully equipped with 1,000 feet of supply line and full EMS capabilities.

This new truck serves as a replacement to the prior Engine 1 truck, which will now be kept in reserve at the Engine Company #2 firehouse on Burnet Street.
