New EMS Building Proposed for Limestone (TN) Community

Washington County-Johnson City EMS Director Dan Wheeley said they're hoping to move forward and  build a new EMS station in Limestone on 11-E across from the industrial park.

"The county has owned the land for quite a while, EMS has been looking to relocate that station for a couple of years, the county fire service and EMS have been talking about a training facility for about 10 years and it's all kind of come together and hopefully we can make all that happen here on this piece of property," Wheeley said.

The proposed facility would not only include room for EMS but also for a fire truck from the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department.

The new truck cost $420,000. The purchase was made possible by the Village of Horseheads.
