To the San Antonio Fire Department paramedics attempting to calm Alfred Trevino last week, he was another patient on a busy afternoon who was having trouble breathing. Without warning, the 33-year-old man jumped into the paramedics' ambulance, locked them out and then allegedly led police on a frantic pursuit from one side of town to another during rush-hour, officials said.

Donated High River (Canada) Fire Equipment to help Chilean firefighters

As High River firefighters clean out their fire hall, they're finding old equipment to help volunteer firefighters south of the equator. The donation of pants, jackets, boots, stretchers and hoses for about 35 people is part of an initiative started by the Taber Lion's Club.
