Brockway Volunteer Hose Co. Dedicates Trucks

BROCKWAY - As Brockway gets ready to celebrate the annual tradition of the Old-Fashioned Fourth of July, another, less-frequent tradition took place at a small ceremony at Brockway Volunteer Hose Company Sunday evening. The fire department purchased a fire engine and refurbished a ladder truck, and both vehicles were dedicated to service in the parking lot outside the fire house.

Volunteer Fire Department Renovation Celebrated

HEDGESVILLE - The renovation of the Hedgesville Fire Department, Fire Station 70, on Mountain Lake Road has begun and an open house celebration was held on Sunday. The project was supported by The Woods community to substantially renovate the building.

Smith said when the substation is completed, the station will provide volunteer firefighters with expanded and improved living space, including sleeping quarters and upgraded appliances and furniture.
