Walker's New Rescue Truck

Walker's new rescue truck, an old 1964 Ford Water Tanker, sits inside the Department of Public Works shop ready to be retro-fitted for its new duties. The vehicle sports 36-inch tires and is able to reach areas for rescue and removal previous city transportation couldn't.

Historic Fire Truck Makes An Appearance in San Francisco's (CA) Mission

The firefighters of SFFD Station #7 at Folsom and 17th Streets brought out their historic truck - a 1935/36 Mack Truck - for their 150th anniversary and it will be on view today, the 150th year since the great 1906 earthquake. The truck's bell was hand-cast and the ladders hand-made in San Francisco. The Fire Department’s ladders are still hand-made in San Francisco.

Spencerport Fire Truck Involved in Crash

A Spencerport fire truck was involved in a crash Monday evening on Union Street...

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spencerport Fire Department says a vehicle crashed into the truck which resulted in it rolling over. We're told another vehicle was also hit in the crash.

Four people were taken to the hospital including a firefighter. Department spokesperson Aaron Baker says the firefighter is shaken up but not seriously injured.
