Scott Safety Air-Pak SCBA NFPA 2013 Compliant Upgrade Kit is applicable to any 2002- or 2007-edition Air-Pak SCBA. The upgrade kit allows fire departments using legacy model Air-Pak SCBA to upgrade to the most current edition of the NFPA 1981 and 1982 standards. The upgrade kit provides a lower cost alternative to purchasing new SCBA while also allowing fire departments to take advantage of newer technology enhancements. In addition, the upgrade kits give fire departments the ability to maximize the service life of existing equipment, thus reducing the frequency of SCBA replacement. As part of the upgrade, customers can choose to add Scott Safety’s newer technology enhancements including the Pak-Tracker™ Firefighter Locator or SEMS II Air Management System. Although not required by NFPA standards, these enhancements contribute to improving situational awareness and firefighter safety. www.scottsafety.com, 704-291-8300

Kussmaul Auto Charge 2000 PLC replaces the original AC2000. This dual battery bank charger with parasitic load compensation (PLC) technology is fully customizable to the needs of each fire truck, which solves a common problem with parasitic loads. This technology was developed to prolong battery life even further by using a three-step charging algorithm with the ability to shift the absorption stage and put the charger into float mode. This is done by the user inputting the parasitic load draw into the charger so once the desired battery current is reached, the charger will switch over to float mode. By allowing the charger to go into float mode more often, users prolong the life of the battery and prevent battery “boil over.” The Auto Charge 2000 PLC also has a three-amp battery saver on a separate circuit that can be turned on or off, which allows a small load to be charged separately. www.kussmaul.com, 800-346-0857

Holmatro double-acting locknut cylinders feature extremely low closed height. The double-acting locknut cylinders offer advantages in safety, maintenance, and durability. The cylinders are equipped with a smart return plunger instead of the usual stop ring. This construction increases the pressure surface, resulting in more power with a smaller diameter. By making use of integrated safety valves, the cylinders are protected against overpressure on the return side. A multiple‐start thread is provided on the plunger for positioning the locknut quickly. Dirt on the plunger can be removed more easily because of the rounded thread. All cylinders are wear-resistant and corrosion-protected. www.holmatro.com, +31 (0) 162 751 500
