A man was taken into custody after he allegedly crashed several times—including into a fire truck—while fleeing the scene of an earlier crash in Davis County, reports kutv.com.
Farmington police officials say the fiasco began around 8 p.m. on Monday after the suspect had an altercation with another man near 64 W Joy Dr. The suspect entered a vehicle, struck the other man, and fled the scene, according to the report.
During the flee, the suspect hit other vehicles, including a Farmington City Fire Department apparatus, at 75 West and 200 South. The severity of the damage was not released.
A traffic stop via the Utah Highway Patrol produced no luck, though police officials were able to implement a PIT maneuver to halt the vehicle in the area of 300 South and 75 West and arrest the culprit, the report notes.
The victim in the original crash was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the suspect was also taken to the hospital for treatment before his booking.
An investigation is ongoing.
