Crews battle house fire in Renton with possible grow operation inside

Firefighters are battling a house fire in Renton with a possible grow operation inside. The fire broke out just before 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at a home on SE Petrovisky Road, near 116th Ave. SE. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke pouring out of the home as the fire spread to the attic. They moved to a defensive attack on the fire, due to possible hazards inside the home.

FEMA Grant Secured for South Jersey Fire Departments

The departments include Gloucester Township fire districts 2, 4, 5, and 6, the Pine Hill Fire Department, the Lindenwold Fire Department, and the Deptford Fire Department.

 

Norcross said making sure firefighters receive the protection and equipment they need is important to ensure they can continue to do their job of protecting our communities safety.

Sheriff’s Office Looking for Armed Burglar who Targeted Terrytown (LA) Fire Station

Before fleeing, the man stopped, pulled a gun from his waistband, and pointed it at a door to an area where fire personnel were present after apparently hearing a noise, according to the JPSO.

Some of the stolen property was later found abandoned in Plaquemines Parish.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect or on any of the stolen property is asked to call Detective Craig Toups of the JPSO Burglary and Theft Section at (504) 364-5300 or contact Crimestoppers.

Student Artists Create Mural for Endwell (NY) Fire Station

Shauna Stiles, lead teacher for Maine-Endwell Middle School's art department and adviser of Art Club, has recruited several of her fellow teachers and students to create a mural for the Endwell Fire Station's fitness room.  

The process began in the summer, when members of the Endwell Fire Station asked Stiles if she would paint a mural in the station's fitness room.

Teen Non-Licensed Driver Crashes into St. Louis Fire Apparatus

Police said the car was a rental, but it was unclear why the teen was driving it. It had not been reported stolen.

The car crashed into the fire truck at the intersection of Sheridan and Glasgow avenues before 8 a.m. 

The front of the pumper truck was smashed, and the car came to rest in a grassy area. The 16-year-old driver and passenger in the car were trapped for a short time.
