Chief had a good day. He walked 11 laps around the unit which was 1 lap over the goal the doctors set. He talks a lot about the good conversations he has had with the folks he normally would not have had the opportunity to have long conversations with, he is very grateful to everyone for their concerns and various forms of assistance. Still shooting for release on Wednesday as long as everything keeps moving in the right direction.

Feel free to shoot him an email, he is probably up to getting a few now that things have calmed down an bit.

Chief  is in good spirits and really appreciates what everyone has done for him, and the outpouring of concern shown by so many people. He has been walking around the circle outside his room, all the while making sure that his heart rate stays at 80, so far mission accomplished. He has the IV’s being discontinued but will continue to have the Access Port (PICC) line left in as a backup. He had a biopsy on his lymph node to clarify if he had the sarcoidosis, results are expected in 2-3 days.  The Cleveland Clinic has been in contact with the his doctors here and they agree that the current course of treatment is the right path.  The nurses  and doctors here are really good and are treating Chief awesome.  They can't believe how good he looks after what he has been through.

As a reminder cards are welcome, and they may be sent to the station at 701 Vine St Kelso Wa 98626.
