The Washington Fire Mechanics Board last met in Redmond, Washington on May 14th. The Chiefs are currently awaiting a proposal from the Wenatchee conference center and that will be evaluated. It was decided that our new logo patches and decals will be given away at this year’s conference and additional ones may be purchased. The class list for this year is shaping up nicely adding 7.3 and 6.0L troubleshooting and repair, a 60 Series class, and Pierce training. Coins will be reordered so all can have an opportunity to purchase more! Please don’t forget that scholarships are still available, check out our website for the forms what is better than going to the conference…telling the Chief it was free! Also, please give your local vendors information about our upcoming conference and have them contact vendors.wfm@washingtonfirechiefs.org for more info or to secure their booth space. This year’s unique schedule offers vendors with a better opportunity to be heard and show us the things we need! The next regular meeting will be Thursday, July 23rd in Lynnwood.
