Flag Lowering for  Matthew McClintock  Thursday February 25th, 2016


Governor Inslee is deeply saddened by the death of Washington National Guard SSG Matthew McClintock, 30, of Des Moines, and directs that Washing State and The United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff in his memory on Thursday, February 25th, 2016.  He was killed in action on January 5th in the Helmand Providence in South Afghanistan. SSG McClintock was posthumously promoted to Sergeant First Class. 

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 25th, 2016, at 3:00 PM at JBLM Lewis North Chapel.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset on February 25th or first thing Friday morning, February 26th, 2016.

Please notify all of your field offices and facilities around the state.
