Mission Statement

The objectives of this Division shall be to further enhance the education of all Fire Service Administrative Support by conducting workshops and seminars; to increase the proficiency of Fire Administrative Support by establishing a network sharing of information systems through various channels of communication; and to faciliate a statewide standardization wherever possible in all phases and aspects of the Fire Administrative Support field for the benefit of the Fire Service.

VIDEO: A new push is now officially underway to make Seattle neighborhoods safer from vacant building fires. Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell signed a new ordinance into effect that gives the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) the authority to order the demolition of unsafe, vacant buildings. The idea is to remove these dangerous structures, not only to prevent fire but to also protect firefighters from injury or death and to prevent these fires from spreading to neighboring structures.

Wildfire season is now underway in North Central Washington after a 554-acre fire near East Wenatchee ignited Tuesday afternoon. The Wenatchee Valley Fire Department deals with 3-6 large scale wildfires every summer according to Chief Brian Brett. He says the area is especially susceptible to fires because of inherent conditions.

Members of the Spokane Fire Department (SFD) rescued a dog they found unconscious after chewing on a pipe. On Wednesday, May 29, an engine from the SFD was dispatched to East Queen Avenue for a reported overdose. According to Spokane firefighters, they encountered a woman holding a tiny, three-pound, nine-month-old Chihuahua.

An investigation is underway after a house in Everett caught on fire early Wednesday morning. According to the Everett Fire Department (EFD), at around 3 a.m., crews responded to reports of a fire near the corner of Lombard Ave. and 23rd. St. By 3:30 a.m., the EFD announced that the fire was extinguished and everyone inside the home made it out safely without any injuries.

A brushfire that started in the area of the Greater Wenatchee Regional Landfill outside East Wenatchee quickly went to three alarms at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. A woman is dead after an early-morning apartment fire in north Seattle Tuesday. Seattle Fire crews were called around 5 a.m. to the 900 block of NE 63rd Street. The apartment building is vacant and is down the street from Whole Foods. Four people were found and rescued from inside the apartment building, but a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
