Mission Statement

The objectives of this Division shall be to further enhance the education of all Fire Service Administrative Support by conducting workshops and seminars; to increase the proficiency of Fire Administrative Support by establishing a network sharing of information systems through various channels of communication; and to faciliate a statewide standardization wherever possible in all phases and aspects of the Fire Administrative Support field for the benefit of the Fire Service.

Wolffy’s Breakfast and Brew co-owner Jessica Davis is pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a firefighter. The Airway Heights Fire Department Facebook says Davis started the West Plains Fire Academy in February, the first step in fulfilling her goal of becoming a firefighter. "It's always something I've wanted to do," said Jessica.

The city council is getting closer to asking voters in August to approve $26.3 million in bonds for a new headquarters fire station to be built at 528 N.E. Fourth Ave., the former site of a Bank of America branch. “We were looking for a place that could handle the call volume we get for Station 41,” Camas-Washougal Fire Chief Cliff Free reminded Camas City Council members at a meeting Monday, explaining that the new station needs to be as close as possible to the current station at 616 N.

PHOTO: Around 22:08 on the 20th of March, Yakima County Fire District 5 was notified of a structure fire in the area of Wierman and North Track Road, NW of the City of Toppenish. An additional caller in the area of 10200 N. Track stated that it was her neighbor's house and that it was possibly an abandoned structure.

VIDEOS/PHOTOS: Ten years ago, the deadliest landslide in U.S. history struck the small town of Oso, Washington. Forty-three people were killed on March 22, 2014, when the hillside above the Steelhead Haven neighborhood in Snohomish County collapsed, wiping out state Route 530, homes and cars. It was a beautiful Saturday morning in the close-knit community of Oso when the hillside gave way.

One person was taken to the hospital after escaping a house fire by climbing the roof in Kent Wednesday morning. According to Puget Sound Fire (PSF), the fire happened just before midnight on 259th St., down the road from the East Hill Baptist Church. When firefighters arrived, flames were seen coming from the upstairs bedroom window.

An early-morning fire Tuesday burned a significant portion of the Lake McMurray fire station, leaving staff looking for a way to continue to provide service to residents of Skagit County Fire District 15. Staff were working Tuesday evening to draft a plan for call response. The department should be able to respond to emergency calls after Tuesday evening, said Fire Chief Stuart Kranick.
