Land Purchased for Waco (TX) Fire Station 16

Waco (TX) city council is commencing plans to construct a new fire station, Station 16, on land that it agreed to acquire during a recent session, reports virtualbx.com.

The city agreed to purchase 2.2 acres of land from LG Callan LLC for $325,000. The plan allocates a total of $375,000, with the remainder to cover closing fees, surveying, and other related expenses, the report says.

The land, at the northwest intersection of Ritchie Road and Panther Way, is adjacent to the new $4.5 million Ritchie Road Elevated Storage Tank Project. The report says that the city also reallocated $89,000 remaining from the construction of 2019’s Station 5.

The Waco office of civil engineers Walker Partners is working on the project, according to the report.
