Parishville (NY) Celebrating New Fire Station

The Parishville Volunteer Fire Department is welcoming its new station with a parade and an open house, reports NNY 360.

The prior fire station’s proximity to a river caused drainage problems. The new $2 million fire station provides more room for equipment, a bigger meeting room, bigger offices, a decom room, and a washer and dryer for turnout gear.

The parade will be followed by an open house at the new station so people can get a tour.

Lake Havasu City (AZ) Fire Apparatus Rear-Ended

A Lake Havasu City Fire Department fire engine was stopped at a red light when it was rear ended, reports HavasuNews.com.

The fire truck was returning from a structure fire. Two of the three firefighters on board were transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. The third firefighter treated the patient in the other vehicle involved and also sustained minor injuries.

The captain of the engine company reported the incident to the emergency dispatch center via radio. Two of the three firefighters on board were transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. Wiggins (MS) Fire Department Will Soon Get New Aerial

Wiggins (MS) will soon have a new fire aerial in service as final assembly finishes up at the factory, according to a report published by the Stone County Enterprise.

The newspaper reported the engine, which has been in the plans since 2019, could arrive by September 30. The new apparatus will have a 75-foot ladder and a pump according to the newspaper report. When it arrives, it will replace the city’s oldest engine, a 36-year-old unit called Engine No. 7.

The new apparatus, which cost about $700,000, will be called Ladder No. 10 and be stationed in Wiggins, but expected to respond to other incidents in the area, according to the newspaper.
