Apparatus Involved in Brooklyn (NY) Crash

Three people were hospitalized Monday after a crash involving a firetruck and a car in Brooklyn, reports CBS New York.

The accident occurred around 8 p.m. at the intersection of South 9th Street and Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg, the report says, and all three were in the car that was struck.

There was no word on their conditions.

Delmar (DE) Fire Apparatus Collides with Tractor-Trailer, Six Hurt

Six people were hurt when a tractor-trailer truck and a Delmar (DE) Fire Department fire apparatus collided at an intersection on Tuesday morning, according to the television station WBOC.

The station reported the six victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash which occurred while the fire apparatus was responding to another call.

The collision, which is under investigation, occurred at about 10 am at the intersection of Route 13 and Line Road, the station reported.

West Jordan (UT) Firefighters to Purchase 80-Year-Old Fire Apparatus

West Jordan firefighters have pooled their own money to buy a former fire department’s truck back, reports The City Journals.

The 80-year-old engine has been auctioned off and sat in a garage for 40 years. It was offered to West Jordan City, but there wasn’t enough interest or funding.

The fire engine is in need of repair as neither engine nor water pump work. The body has rust and peeling paint. Some of the features are made of wood and are deteriorating. The group is hoping some people will donate to their cause to fix some of the high-ticket items.
