Southern California Railway Museum and Honoring USA Heroes host 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit

Father’s Day Weekend June 19th and 20th

Perris, California, June 7, 2021 Honoring USA Heroes and Southern California Railway Museum memorialize the 20th anniversary of September 11th  by hosting the 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit

In 2013, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation launched its 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit: a tribute to all those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, including the 343 members of the Fire Department of New York City (FDNY) who made the ultimate sacrifice. The high-tech, 83-foot tractor-trailer, which transforms into a 1,100 square foot exhibit, is a tool to further educate people across the country about the events of that tragic day. https://t2t.org/our-programs/911-never-forget-mobile-exhibit.

Welcomed around the nation, from the Black Hills of South Dakota to the Tennessee State Fairgrounds, the memorial provides interactive education, including artifacts such as steel beams from the towers, documentary videos, and recordings of first responder radio transmissions. Interactive guided tours are carried out by FDNY firefighters who provide firsthand accounts of the day and its aftermath. The 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit, which has traveled to nearly all 50 states and Canada, has welcomed in over 500,000 people to date.  This will be the first time the exhibit will visit Southern California.

Honoring USA Heroes is dedicated to making sure USA’s fallen heroes are never forgotten.  This event highlights their efforts to provide a special memorial gift to the families of every first responder lost on September 11th.  These memorials will be presented to the families at the 20th anniversary events in New York and Washington D.C. later this year.

Honoring USA Heroes (https://www.honoringusaheroes.org/) will start the weekend by hosting a VIP, invitation-only, event on June 18th, 2021 from 4pm to 8pm.  The evening is dedicated to first responders and veterans in our area who will have the first opportunity to tour the 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit, enjoy appetizers and beverages from local restaurants, wineries and breweries, be welcomed by local dignitaries, and entertained by the Cadenza String Orchestra.  VIP registrations for active military, veterans, and first responders can be found here https://socalrailway.org/scrm-events/9-11-never-forget-vip/.  Seating is limited.
