Logansport (IN) City Council Approves Purchase of Fire Apparatus

The city council unanimously approved the purchase of a fire truck and supporting rescue tools, reports Pharos Tribune.

Alexis Fire Equipment will provide the fire truck for approximately $773,000. Currently, a hold on parts has forced a delay. Fire Chief Rick Bair remains optimistic that the new truck could be delivered by September.

The rescue truck will carry a 250-gallon water pump and will have state-of-the-art fire equipment, including a battery-powered Jaws of Life.

The fire department has been using a 15-year-old rescue truck, and the fire department is long overdue for a more technical vehicle.

Milton (MA) Buys Land for New Fire Station

Milton (MA) has bought a half an acre of land for $890,000 for a new fire station, according to an article published by The Patriot Ledger.
