East Milton (MA) Approves Purchase of Land for New Station

Town officials recently approved the purchase of a half-acre of land for $890,000 for the site of a new East Milton (MA) station, reports patriotledger.com.

The station will be located at the corner of Adams Street and Libby Road next to St. Agatha’s Rectory and is part of a $32.25 million plan to update and renovate the town’s three fire stations.

Anne Arundel County (MD) Fire Apparatus Damaged in Accident

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department said a fire truck responding to a house fire was involved in an accident, reports Patch.com.

The accident sent two of the car’s occupants to the Anne Arundel Medical Center with minor injuries.

At the house fire, eight residents were displaced and a firefighter was injured.

Electric Fire Apparatus Makes Debut in Long Island (NY)

A first-of-its-kind electric fire engine was unveiled in Hicksville, reports ABC 7 News.

The truck can run fully electric for one and a half to two hours. A fire official said the electric truck helps greatly improve communication within the cab and at the scene of a fire.
