Indiana Rig Crash Injures 1

According to a report from WSCH, one person was injured when a fire tanker rolled over in Ripley County, Indiana, Tuesday morning.

Ripley County Communications received a report the rollover crash at around 6:15 a.m. on Brownstown Road near the intersection with County Road 750 W.

Napoleon Volunteer Fire Company Firefighter Ralph Meyer was driving westbound on Brownstown Road en route to a working structure fire when he met an oncoming Millhouse (IN) Fire Department tanker truck heading in the other direction. Meyer told Ripley County Sheriff’s deputies that the lights from the oncoming tanker obscured his vision and caused him to veer off the road.

Meyer’s tanker rolled and came to a rest on its side. He was transported to Margaret Mary Health in Batesville for treatment of unknown injuries.
