New St. Louis Fire Truck Hit By Distracted Driver On I-55, Firefighters Say

The $750,000 truck is one of the newest in the fleet, firefighters said. Voters recently passed a measure funding new fire trucks. It wasn't immediately clear whether the driver was charged. The fire department tweeted about the crash, saying: "Anything that distracts you from safely operating your vehicle can wait #texting #itcanwait.

3 Firefighters Taken To The Hospital After Fire Truck Crashes In PG County (MD) Officials Say

The Prince George's County Fire Department said one of their fire engines and a civilian work van collided at Forbes Boulevard and Annapolis Road in Lanham.  

Fire officials said no civilians were hurt and the firefighters were taken to the hospital for evaluation and a check-up.

Woman In Critical Condition After Suv Crashes Into Fire Engine In Old East Dallas

The crash happened around 3:25 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 30 near the Winslow overpass. 

Dallas-Fire Rescue Engine 19 was on the scene after another accident occurred earlier and was rendered undriveable after the crash.

Katelyn Buis, 21, was arrested and taken to Baylor University Medical Center. She faces a charge of driving while intoxicated once she gets out of the hospital, police said. 

No firefighters were injured, nor were there any injuries in the earlier crash, police said.

Rapid City (Sd) Fire Department Requests A Grant To Gain A New Rescue Boat

The fire department currently has only one hard bottom fishing boat as a rescue boat. But with a new big inflatable motorboat, it can handle swift waters and weave in between shallow and deep areas. About 12 times a year, the fire department needs to use the inflatable boat. Most incidents occur in May and June. This boat will replace a 20-year-old inflatable rescue boat that they had to finally give up in 2016.
