East Sandwich (MA) Fire Station Reopens Doors

The East Sandwich Fire Station reopened its doors Sunday on Route 6A. With the revamped station back in operation, it is expected that response times for certain East Sandwich fire and EMS calls will reduce from 11 minutes to three or four. That will in turn translate into a small decrease in homeowners’ insurance premiums, and hopefully more saved lives.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Monday morningÂ for the first new fire station to be built in Orange County in more than 10 years.Fire Station 67 is located at 10679 University Boulevard, which is about two miles west of the University of Central Florida.
