Tempest Fireco Towers Is Now Fireco US

Tempest Fireco Towers has changed its name to Fireco US. The company was formerly managed by Tempest Technology, Inc. and was housed in their headquarters on Blythe Avenue in Fresno, California. Tempest Technology was sold in April of 2017 to a foreign entity and was no longer charged with managing Tempest Fireco Towers, owned by Dexter Coffman and Christian Baribbi. In July 2017 two new partners, Jesse Peralez, Jr and his wife Paley Peralez, were brought on to manage the new company and oversee day to day operations. Fireco US is now operating out of a new office located on Gateway Avenue in Fresno, California.

“We are excited about the addition of Fireco US to our family of businesses”, says Jesse Peralez, who also owns Cooper Chase Construction and Peralez Masonry. “Fireco is a respected product that can span multiple industries and we are confident that we can grow market share in the United States and Canada.” Since taking over management Fireco US has expanded its sales force with the addition of John Townsend, a seasoned sales professional with over twenty years of sales and marketing experience in various industries.

Fireco US will be participating in multiple trade shows this year, independent of Tempest Technology. Fireco US will be attending Firehouse World, ISC West, The California Mobile Command Center Rally, AUSA and the Pacific Northwest Tow Show.

Honeywell, DuPont Welcome 20 New Scholarship Recipients at FDIC International 2018 Training for First Responders

DAYTON, OHIO, and WILMINGTON, DELAWARE, USA — APRIL 3, 2018 — Honeywell First Responder Products and DuPont Safety & Construction announced today that 20 outstanding firefighters, emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and first responders will receive expenses-paid scholarships to attend the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) International in Indianapolis, April 23-28.

The weeklong FDIC International conference at the Indiana Convention Center is the industry’s premier source of advanced training on firefighting tools, tactics and safety for first responders. A welcome dinner and awards event will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 23, at the Indianapolis JW Marriott.

“Honeywell and DuPont welcome the opportunity to accelerate the career development of these 20 individuals that bring a rare blend of accomplishment on the fireground together with a demonstrated passion for education and training,” said Christie Newsome, business leader for Honeywell First Responder. “It is notable that five of the instructors at this year’s conference are graduates of our scholarship program.”

Honeywell founded the scholarship in 2013 to encourage accelerated leadership development for select firefighters, emergency medical and HAZmat personnel throughout North America. Over 100 first responders have gone through the program since its inception. Scholarship recipients are nominated by their peers and awarded by an independent panel that considers record of service, including training background.

“We welcome the 2018 scholarship recipients, and on behalf of everyone at DuPont, we remain honored to be a part of this important program with Honeywell as we work to help firefighters receive advanced training to continue their professional development,” said John Richard, Vice President and General Manager for DuPont™ Kevlar® and Nomex®.
