Charges are pending in the investigation of a wreck involving a private ambulance and a tanker truck in Stafford. At about 7 a.m. Tuesday, the traffic safety unit responded to an accident at Warrenton and Hartwood roads, according to Amanda Vicinanzo, spokeswoman for the sheriff's office.

Three New London firefighters are expected to be okay after their fire truck was involved in a rollover wreck Wednesday night. Officials tell us the single-vehicle wreck happened just before 10 p.m. on FM 850 between Texas 42 and FM 2012 while the New London Volunteer Fire Department was headed to a grass fire in a water-tender vehicle, according the Rusk County Office of Emergency Management.

EPHRATAH - An Ephratah Volunteer Fire Department brush truck was stolen this week and driven to Maryland, police there said. Police also arrested the man they say had the truck. The man told police he drove it there without permission to meet someone he met on social media, Cumberland, Maryland, police said.
