Round Rock Fire Department Adding 2 Vehicles to Fleet

Two new fire engines costing the city $2 million are set to be added to Round Rock Fire Department's growing fleet of emergency vehicles. The Velocity PUC Pumper and Aerial Platform vehicles - at a cost of $725,454 and $1.3 million, respectively -are part of the Fire Department's semiregular purchases to either add or replace vehicles serving the greater Round Rock area.

Rescue truck back in service in Pittsylvania County

CHATHAM - For a while, the fire truck was parked in front of the Pittsylvania County courthouse in protest over funding. Now, exactly three months after it was taken out of service, the future of the county's Special Operations Team's rescue truck has been decided.
