With southbound traffic stopped, representatives from two nations met Wednesday at the middle of the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge. A 1994 Pierce Lance firetruck rumbled, sirens blaring and lights flashing, toward the middle of the bridge with a group of Mexican officials awaiting the donation.

Howard County EMA (IN) Replace Aging Fire Apparatus

The Howard County EMA Fire Department has replaced an aging piece of fire apparatus with a newer updated truck. Light & Air 13 has been upgraded from a 1988 Grumman Chevrolet step van to a 2003 Ford F550, according to a Howard County EMA press release.

Boise Mobile Equipment Donates Fire Truck To Volunteer Fire Department In Owyhee County

Boise Mobile Equipment donated a 1980 Western State Pumper fire truck to Murphy Reynolds Wilson Fire Department, an all-volunteer district in Owyhee County. Murphy Reynolds covers 330 square miles, making it the second largest district in Idaho. The district was established in 1985 by four people trying to keep citizens and surrounding wildland safe in a rural desert area.

PROSPECT - The Prospect Volunteer Fire Department's Fire Engine 5 is due for replacement in 2019, an expense that promises to top $750,000. Fire Chief William Lauber and Captain John Vance updated the Town Council on the state of the town's fleet for the first time in almost a decade last week.
