New Price Tag On San Diego (CA) Fire Station Needs Tops $91 Million

San Diego would need to spend more than $91 million to fully implement the findings of a recent report on the city's fire safety needs, according to an analysis by the Independent Budget Analyst's Office. The figure represents the cost of building seven new, unfunded fire stations throughout the city.

Options Considered for Cramped EMS Building

County commissioners are still looking for solutions to problems with the cramped and deteriorating station that houses Miami County Emergency Medical Services at 32765 Clover Drive. County officials have been discussing the issues at the station for the past several years.
The EMS building was built in 1996, and commissioners back in 2012 discussed a number of ongoing issues, such as the septic system, bathroom fungus, stucco and garage door issues, roof gutter discharge, misaligned doors, landscaping and drainage concerns, heaving floors and an overall lack of space.

Puerto Vallarta Firefighters Receive New Equipment

April 3, 2017 A total of $8 million pesos of new firefighter's equipment was delivered to Puerto Vallarta this morning during a ceremony lead by Mayor Arturo Dávalos Peña at the municipal sports center, Agustín Flores Contreras. Funding for the equipment was 80% of from the city and 20% federal funds, according to the mayor in an interview with the media.
