Decatur (PA) Fire Company Gets New Fire Gear

McCLURE -New gear continues to roll into the firehouse for the Decatur Fire Co. Chief Mark Wolfgang said the fire company will be purchasing two complete new sets of fire gear for the station. "The replacement is part of our plan," he said.
The Decatur (PA) Fire Company will purchase two complete seats of turnout gear thanks to a state grant.

The company was awarded a total of $12,101.36 for upkeep through a grant program created by the legislature and is administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.

The Grand Island (NE) Fire Department is awaiting the delivery of a new quint, which Chief Cory Schmidt says will help local property owners by driving down insurance rates.

Schmidt said the quint will be stationed in the northwest part of the city, with the department's current ladder truck in the southeast, providing better geographic coverage.

Darlington (SC) Dedicates New Fire Engine

DARLINGTON, S.C. -The City of Darlington Fire Department introduced its newest fire engine during a dedication ceremony Monday evening at its headquarters at 301 Orange Street in Darlington. Darlington firefighters and Fire Chief Pat Cavanaugh thanked both the mayor and the city council for the addition of their newest truck, Engine 1, as part of the official dedication ceremony.
SCNow reported on the dedication ceremony for a new fire truck in the city of Darlington, South Carolina.

Engine 1, a new 2016 HME AHRENS-Silver Fox engine, has been in service since February 13 and allows the department to replace two 30-year-old vehicles. It also marks the thrid vehicle upgrade for the department since 2012.
