Newark (NJ) Firefighter Injured as Man Attacks Fire Truck

man described as emotionally unstable threw a bottle at the windshield of a fire truck and the shattering glass injured a firefighter, according to a report published by RLS Media.

According to the report, the man, who was taking into custody, damaged other parts of the truck and the firefighter was taken to University Hospital for treatment.

St. George (UT) Opens New Fire Station

The St. George (UT) Fire Department opened a new station, its ninth, on the south side of the city on Friday, according to a report published by The Spectrum.

The report said Fire Station 9 has been in the planning for seven years and is one of three new stations in the works for the community.

To mark the occasion, a fire hose was used instead of a ribbon cutting ceremony and a fire truck push in was part of the festivities, according to the report.
